History The "Tibby" is an ancient breed, being known as far back as 100 B.C. It was developed as a watchdog for monasteries, and is related to Pugs and Pekingese. |
Positives The breed is comfortable living in a wide range o households. They do not need lots of exercise. |
Negatives Tibetan Spaniels can be "standoffish" with people they don't know, and will tend to bark at unusual happenings. However this is quite typical of many of the Spaniel breeds, and indeed many of the Terrier breeds. So such a tendency is not only not unusual, but is also easily overcome by correct training and socialisation at an early age. |
